New Start Recovery offers residential treatment to individuals struggling with drug and alcohol use in a safe and intimate environment so they can grow physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Why is Residential Care Important?

Going through detox is an important first step on the path toward recovery. We stress, however, that it is only a first step–relapse looms heavily over the addict who does not continue on with real treatment.

Residential care is a great way to nip relapse in the bud by addressing the underlying drivers of addiction. Real healing begins at this stage of recovery. After tapering off from withdrawal meds, clients are clear minded and focused enough to understand what happens around them. New Start’s residential care program is structured as a monitored progressive toolkit. Over the course of 30 days (or more if needed), addicts learn about themselves and how to utilize healthy coping strategies in a safe, structured environment.

We utilize a combination of different therapy techniques, group meetings, and recreational activities in our residential care program. These are some of the programs we offer.

This structure fosters effective change in people’s lives. Drug and alcohol addiction impacts more than just the individual itself but also their families and friends. Understanding this, New Start Recovery implements a phase program which helps clients identify root causes for their substance use, implement safe and effective coping skills to their everyday living, and aid them in transitioning back with their family, friends, and co-workers.

Defeat the stigma. Get help and live your life free of addiction.

Clinical Approach

New Start Recovery implements a series of evidenced-based practices such as Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) and The Matrix Model for substance abuse therapy.

Additionally, New Start Recovery incorporates the 12-step modality as a means of increasing client’s ability to fellowship with others and identifies positive supporters who can reinforce accountability and redirection when necessary. Clients and their families are also provided opportunities for family therapy which is based in a family systems approach.

Continued Level of Care

During case management periods, clients are assisted with identifying a safe and healthy environment to transition to upon their discharge from the program. For some this may include sober living environments, I.O.P. programs, or other assisted living programs. While participating in the program, all clients will be assisted with developing a sober support network that they can utilize once they transition as well.
