New Start’s 4-phase program provides a safe transition to independence. While detox is hard, making the change stick is even harder. We preempt relapse with a tiered approach to release.

dealing with changes

Phase 1: Get Settled

Clients spend time establishing rapport with their case manager and peers within the program. Additionally, clients are oriented to the program schedule and daily requirements such as daily life skill duties, group therapy sessions, and meeting times with their case manager. Because family, work and social life are stressors, these influences are minimized so clients can begin identifying the internal causes and conditions of their substance use.

Defeat the stigma. Get help and live your life free of addiction.

Phase 2: Address Cause

Clients begin reintroducing external stressors through family therapy sessions. While still in the safety of focused recovery,  clients address the impact their home environment has on their substance use, and receive guidance on how to rectify issues that could threaten long term sobriety.

Phase 3: Look Forward

Due to work’s importance in sobriety, clients begin applying for jobs or preparing to go back to work. Clients establish daily/weekly schedules in order to help create more balance and less stress. Finally, discharge is arranged to begin preparing for transition.

Phase 4: Your New Start

Finally, clients address career development and begin applying for jobs, if necessary, or preparing to transition back to work. Now clients establish daily and weekly schedules which will help them restore balance to their lives and reduce stress. Also, clients finalize their discharge placement and begin preparing for their transition.

We understand that life after residential care is uncertain. For that reason, we offer an alumni support network following discharge. It’s a great resource for staying clean and sober!
